Jose Roberto Vasquez Perez, 69 años de edad. Nació el 10 de Septiembre de 1954 en Chalatenango, El Salvador. Falleció el 21 de Mayo, 2024 en Coralville, Iowa.

Esposo de Sonia Janeth Vasquez, padre de Marlon, Jensy (Alexander) y Robert Vasquez y abuelo de Gwendoline y Elijah Gonzalez. Roberto era un esposo y padre amoroso y un buen amigo hacia los demás. Roberto será extrañado por su familia y amigos. El será recordado por su sonrisa, su sonrisa contagiosa que familia, amigos, doctores y enfermeras encantaban ver. Roberto siempre tenía una sonrisa no importando la circunstancia. Con esa sonrisa también siempre andaba puesta una boina. Roberto no era solamente conocido por su sonrisa y boinas, sino también por su amabilidad.

Roberto tuvo un negocio por 25 años, él y su esposa tuvieron una factoría de ropa en California. Roberto siempre muy dedicado se aseguraba que todo siempre fuera bien hecho y entregar el trabajo a tiempo. Roberto trabajó al lado de su esposa esos 25 años, 6 días de la semana siempre juntos. Después él se mudó a Las Vegas Nevada, allí trabajó unos años al lado de Alexander (su yerno). De ahí fue a su último trabajo, trabajó en Polywest y de esa compañía él se retiró.

Roberto vivió en Los Ángeles, California por 25 años, y en Las Vegas, Nevada por 13 años y hace 8 años se mudó a Coralville, Iowa. Roberto decidió moverse para Iowa por la tranquilidad y para estar cerca de su hija Jensy, su esposo Alexander y de sus nietos Gwendoline y Elijah Gonzalez. A Roberto le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos y era muy dedicado a todas aquellas actividades que tenían ellos.

Antes que Roberto se mudara a Iowa, le gustaba andar en moto. A él le gustaba andar en su moto por la ciudad y llevarla al trabajo, Roberto de verdad disfrutaba esos momentos. Roberto tenía varios pasatiempos, pero uno que de verdad disfrutaba era jardinería. Roberto pasaba horas y horas en su jardín. El amaba más que cualquier otra cosa, aun en temperaturas extremas el estaba atendiendo su jardín. El dedicaba muchas horas para que su jardín estuviera en buen estado, arreglando y moldeando para que su jardín estuviera perfecto. Otro pasatiempo que tenía Roberto era ir a caminar. A él le gustaba ir a caminar lejos y le gustaba ir solo pero le gustaba cuando Janeth iba con él también. Le gustaba ver el paisaje y explorar el mundo y la naturaleza alrededor de él.

Roberto vivió una vida llena de felicidad, y su amabilidad y generosidad afecto quienes lo rodeaban. Jose Roberto Vasquez Perez de verdad será extrañado, por su familia, amigos y por todos que tuvieron el placer de conocerlo.

Celebración de la vida de Jose Roberto Vasquez Perez será Sábado 1 de Junio, 2024 9:00 am-10:00 am será la visitación 10:00 am comenzará el servicio.

Jose Robert Vasquez Perez, age 69, born September 10, 1954, in Chalatenago, El Salvador. Passed away May 21, 2024, Coralville, Iowa.

Husband to Sonia Janeth Vasquez, Father to Marlon, Jensy (Alexander) and Robert Vasquez. Grandfather to Gwendoline and Elijah Gonzalez. Roberto was a loving husband and father, a great friend to many. Roberto will be missed by family and friends and will be remembered for his contagious smile that family, friends, doctors, and nurses loved. Roberto always had a smile on his face no matter the circumstance. Along with his smile he would always wear his iconic newsboys cap. Roberto was not only recognizable for his trademark, but also his kindness.

Roberto was a business owner for 25 years, owning a clothing factory business with his wife in California. Roberto was always dedicated and made sure to do the work correctly and always perfectly on time. Roberto spent 25 years working together with his wife Sonia, 6 days a week you would see them together for years on end. He then moved to Las Vegas where he worked with Alexander (son in law) for a few years. Then he would go to his last job, Poly West, where Roberto would then retire.

Roberto lived in Los Angeles, California for 25 years then lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for 13 years. He then moved to Coralville, Iowa 8 years ago. Roberto decided to move to Coralville because of the calmness and to spend time with his daughter Jensy, her husband Alexander, and his grandkids Gwendoline and Elijah. He loved spending time with his grandkids and being involved in all their daily activities.

Before Roberto moved to Iowa he loved riding motorcycles. He would take his motorcycles out and ride them throughout the city, take them to work, and truly enjoy the moment. Roberto had multiple hobbies in his life but one of his main hobbies was gardening. Roberto would spend hours and hours gardening. He loved his garden more than anything, even in extreme temperatures he was always outside tending to his garden. Countless hours making sure the plants were well and healthy. Fixing and molding them to make his perfect garden. Another hobby he had was going on long walks by himself and with his wife Janeth. He loved the scenery and would walk for hours on end, exploring the world and nature around him.

Roberto lived a life full of happiness. His kindness and generosity affected everyone who interacted with him. Jose Roberto Vasquez Perez will be greatly missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A celebration of Roberto’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. There will be a time of visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the celebration begins.
