Funeral services for Richard C. Handley, 58, Iowa City, were held June 15 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. Robert Elkin officiating. Inurnment was in the Cedar Memorial Mausoleum.

Mr. Handley died at his home June 12 after a sudden illness.

He was born July 13, 1925 in Tipton to Brady and Edna Ocheltree Handley. He married Peggy Calhoun Oct. 8, 1954 in Rock Island, Ill. He served during the Korean Conflict in the Army.

Mr. Handley was a meat cutter at Hy-Vee Foods for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife, his parents of Iowa City; a son, James L., Iowa City; a daughter, Martha Jo, Iowa City; 2 brothers, John, North Liberty and Robert, Marion, Ind., and a sister, Helen Mantz, Sioux Falls, S.D.
