Funeral services for Ralph C. Cozine, 71, Iowa City, were held at the First Presbyterian church, Iowa City, Oct. 23. His body was willed to the University of Iowa.

Mr. Cozine died at his home between Iowa City and West Branch Oct. 19 following a sudden illness.

The son of Arthur A. and Grace Spining Cozine, he was born July 5, 1908 in Johnson county and attended the rural Johnson county schools and graduated from University high school, Iowa City. He attended the University of Iowa.

He was married to Lorena Rogers in Iowa City Aug. 28, 1937. The couple farmed for 45 years. He was an elder of the Presbyterian church, a former member of the Johnson County Red Cross board and a member of the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Richard, Roger and Robert, all of Iowa City; 6 grandchildren and a brother, William S., Iowa City. He is preceded in death by by a brother.
