Dolores Ann (McClintock) Riley, 91, of North Liberty passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 29th, 2023, at her home in North Liberty, IA.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 3rd from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Oakhill Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Coralville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 4th at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial at 1:30 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City.

Dolores was born on January 13, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Thomas and Mildred (Ford) McClintock. She grew up in Mt. Pleasant, graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School before marrying Donald Riley on June 2, 1951, at her parent’s home. The couple eventually settled in North Liberty in 1964 and together they raised their four children in the house that Donald built. Dolores was a full-time housewife from January 1st, 1953, to November 12th 1964. She worked at First National Bank in Iowa City before she began working as an accountant at The University of Iowa in July of 1965. She retired in 1990 after 25 years. After retirement, Dolores and Donald went traveling together often. She was particularly fond of their trip to Hawaii, but they also traveled to Texas, Florida, and Arizona regularly for winters. She also enjoyed participating in the Whip Poor Whirl and Red Hat Ladies groups. She had a love for knitting and playing card games. Dolores enjoyed spending time with friends and family as often as possible and showed her love often to those in her life.

She was a member of North Liberty Methodist Church as well as Grace Community Church in North Liberty.

She is survived by two sons Dennis Riley (Barb Smith) of North Liberty and Mark Riley of Cedar Rapids, son-in-law Robert Morton of Boone, and three grandchildren Meagan Morton, Nick Morton and Thomas Riley (Carolyn Riley), as well as two nieces Barb Cox and Pam McClintock.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Riley, son Jerry Riley, daughter Janet Morton and brother Marvin McClintock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or Iowa City Hospice.
