Jeffrey “Jeff” David Twing passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA

An informal gathering and celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Jan 21st at the Coralville American Legion from 1pm to 4pm.

Jeff was born to Florence (Johnson) and Lester Twing on January 17, 1959, in Moline, IL. Jeff’s childhood was spent in Moline, IL. He graduated from Moline High School in Moline, IL in 1978. Jeff was in the Moline Boys’ Choir and traveled with the choir on a world tour to the South Pacific. He also worked at Younkers in the South Park Mall when he was 16. Jeff had two children from a previous marriage.

Jeff married Audrey Fisher in Davenport, IA on August 11, 2001. They were married for 21 years and had two wonderful children, Nicole and Joshua.

Jeff worked as a Master + Food Service and HVAC Technician for 31 years. He retired in 2020.

Jeff was a talented photographer, and in recent years enjoyed playing with his flying drone. He loved to bake and was a fine chef. He loved spending time with his family. His favorite candy was Reese's peanut butter cups. He could sit and eat a whole bag in one sitting if his wife would let him.

Jeff will be best remembered as a very loving husband and loving father to his children, a great friend and a very caring person who was a great listener. He would help out whoever was in need if he had to.

Jeff liked watching football with his wife Audrey. They were great Iowa Hawkeye and Denver Broncos Fans.

Jeff lived a pretty simple life with his wife and two children. He liked taking little trips around the state of Iowa and Illinois as well as going to Colorado or visiting his sister, Sandy, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Jeff is survived by his wife Audrey; his children Nicole Twing, Joshua Twing, and Thomas (Heather) Twing; two sisters Sandy (Mike) Sowers and Cheryl Twing; his sister-in-law Darcy Fisher (Larry Plummer); grandchildren Adel Twing; nephews Zach Fisher and Avery Fisher; and their four dogs, Zoe, Tinkerbell, Doc, and Gracie.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lymen Twing, and sister Marjorie Lea Twing.
