Rachael N. Honken, 10, of 19 Coneflower Ct. died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at the Child Service Habilitation Center in Johnston following a brief illness.

Funeral Services to celebrate Rachael’s life will be Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 1pm at the Church of the Nazarene, Iowa City, with Pastor Michael Lynch officiating. Friends
May call from 5 to 7pm, Tuesday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service and after noon Wednesday at the church. An educational fund for Nick, Rachael’s brother, has been established in her memory.

Rachael was born January 10, 1995 in Iowa City.

Rachael was a fifth grade student at Lucas Elementary School and had attended Weber, Hoover and Grant Wood Elementary Schools. She was of Western Shoshone heritage and enjoyed attending the Mesquakie Indian Pow-Wow. Rachael loved people, her pastor’s sermons and being pushed by her mother on her roller blades.

Rachael is survived by her mother Holly of Iowa City; one brother, Nick at home;
her grandparents, Gary and Francile Honken of Lakeville, MN and Joann Dyer Austin of Fallon, Nevada; two uncles, Paul and Tom.
