Graveside services for Wendell Eden, 44, Dallas, Texas, were held at the West Branch cemetery July 23.

Mr. Eden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton M. Eden, Iowa City, drowned July 18 in a boating accident in Texas. His body was recovered July 21.

Mr. Eden was born June 2, 1930, in Iowa City.

He attended West Branch High School and graduated from Cornell college in 1952. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army. In Iowa City, he was associated with his father in Eden Motors and, for the past 13 years, was a salesman with the W. O. Blankston Motor Co., in Dallas.

He was a member of the Episcopalian church in Dallas.

Surviving is his wife, Jan; 2 sons, Mark and Joel, and daughter, Kim, all in Dallas; his parents of Iowa City; and a sister, Mrs. Glen (Cora) Pedersen, West Branch.
