Charles “Chuck” Joseph Peters, 54, of Solon passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, September 13, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. All are welcomed to attend. Father David Wilkening will officiate. Visitation will follow at the funeral home from 3-7 pm.

Chuck Peters was born July 18, 1968 in Iowa City to Pete and Nancy (Cole) Peters. He grew up in Coralville and attended West High School.

Chuck married Lori Weldon on November 21, 1998 and the couple had two sons, Joseph and John.

Chuck worked as a mechanic for Oral B for over 25 years. He was known for his good sense of humor and his creative way of “taping” things together so they worked. He will be greatly missed.

Chuck’s passions included fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs and chatting with his neighbors.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Lori and their sons, Joseph and John; his dog Herky; his mother Nancy Peters of North Liberty, and his sister Patty (Duane Hochstetler) Peters of Iowa City.

He was preceded in death by his father Pete, and his half-sister Sandy Mangrich.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chuck Peters’ Memorial Fund.
