LeRoy “Joe” Muller, 69 passed away August 27, 2022 at Montezuma Specialty Care.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday September 1, 2022 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to his family to be distributed to organizations that were important to Joe.

Joe was born on January 21, 1953 in Iowa City, Iowa to LeRoy and LaVera (Duffey) Muller. He grew up in Riverside, graduating from Highland High School in 1971. Joe started his plumbing career in Iowa City working for his dad at Muller Plumbing and Heating before moving to Texas. Joe owned and operated his own company, Flint Plumbing in Texas and lived there for most of his adult life. Due to his health, he moved back to Iowa to be close to family who cared for him up until his death. He was a simple man who enjoyed gambling and his two dogs.

He is survived by two sisters Dianne (Richard) Nelson of Kalona, IA, and Julie (Bud) Maas of Montezuma, IA; one brother Donald (Cathy) Muller of Woodland Hills, CA; three nieces Amber Muller (Jeff) Capps, Michelle Nelson (Nick) King and Alexandria Muller; three nephews Dante (Tennille) Nelson, Stephen (Lisa) Nelson and Jackson Muller; and three great nieces and six great nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jim Muller.
