Services for Walter Secrest, 65, Iowa City, brother of William Secrest, West Branch, were held Jan. 8 at Iowa City. He died at his home in Iowa City Jan.7.

Mr. Secrest was born in Johnson county. He married Violet Hangartner at Downey in 1949.

He was an electrician for the University of Iowa for the past 24 years.

Mr. Secrest is survived by his wife; a sister, Mrs. Florence Cunningham, Des Moines, and a brother, William, West Branch.
