Lemme Rites

Services for Mrs. Helen Lemme, 64, of 603 South Capitol Street, who died Saturday as a result of smoke inhalation from a fire in her home, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Davison officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Helen Lemme Memorial Fund under the auspices of the Martin Luther King Scholarship Fund. Friends may call at the George L. Gay Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lemme was born Feb 23, 1904 at Grinnell, to Lee and Eva Craig Renfrow. She was married to Allyn Lemme on Aug 25, 1929, at Grinnell.

Survivors are two sons, Lawrence at Silver Spring, Md., and Paul of Chicago; two brothers, Rudolph of South Norwalk, Conn., and Paul of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Alice of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Car (Evanel) Terrell of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Henry (Edith) Smith of Chicago and five grandchildren.

Her husband died in 1961.
