Arthur “Bumpa” J. Lonning, 92 of Louisville, KY formerly of Iowa City, IA passed away Sunday July 17, 2005 in Louisville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday July 22, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 123 E. Market St Iowa City IA. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday July 21, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service. Memorials may be made to his church or the American cancer Society.

He was a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Iowa City and a WWII veteran of the Coast Guard.

He is Survived by a daughter Patricia Lowber and a brother Donald Lonning of Philadelphia PA; two grandchildren Kevin Lowber (Jodey); and Chris Lowber (Hiromi); two great-grandchildren Sarina and Shoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Marilouise Tennyson Lonning.
