Carol Capitano 79, of Iowa City, IA passed away December 23, 2021.

Carol was a resident of Iowa City for 30 years. She enjoyed laughing, Paglia's pizza and had a passion for plants and gardening. She loved her cat, named Baby Cat. She grew up in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and became a nurse.

She is survived by her son Andy Capitano, his wife, Susan, and her grandchildren Andrew and Isabella Capitano of Florida.

She is also survived by Her sister Slyvia and Bob Forsyth of Iowa City, along with Her nephew Bobby, his wife Dawn and children Hannah and Chase of Marion, Iowa, a nephew Steve and his wife Jeannie and son Grady and nephew Matt of Florida

The majority of her extended family lives in the Greensburg area- Cheri, Alana, Marilyn and Paul along with their children. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
