M. Pauline Lovetinsky, 92 longtime resident and librarian died Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Lantern Park Specialty Care Center in Coralville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, December 27, 2021, at the Coralville United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Visitation will be from 9am Monday until services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her memory to the Coralville Public Library, her home away from home. Mary Pauline Anderlik was born April 15, 1929, in Iowa City the daughter of Paul and Bessie (Carney) Anderlik. She attended schools in Iowa City graduating from City High School with the Class of 1947. She then attended the former State University of Iowa for several years. She married Ervin E. Lovetinsky on December 22, 1949, in Iowa City. Pauline and Erv made their home in Coralville, having built their own house! Erv owned and operated Erv Lovetinsky Auto for many years, while Pauline worked as the reference librarian at the Coralville Public Library from the day it opened until retiring in May of 1991.
Pauline and Erv had a daughter, Jill Kristine, who was the joy of their lives, until her death in 1970. Pauline was also preceded in death by her husband, Erv; and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Harriett Dautremont.
