Lisa L. Pfeiffer, age 58, passed away November 17, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City after fighting a short battle to cancer.

Lisa was born September 6, 1963, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Edward Kleinmeyer and Kathleen Benson. She was a graduate of West High School in Iowa City. Lisa married Steve Pfeiffer on April 5, 1986 and later divorced. Lisa worked at Mercy Hospital out of High school, then she worked at Hawkeye Truck Stop for many years. Before she was diagnosed with Cancer she worked at Midtown family restaurant for 18 years and the VFW in Iowa City for 3 years, Lisa was a happy, sassy, quick witted, daughter, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to dance and sing, with country music being her favorite. Everyone loved her laugh. Her Friends held a special place in her heart. She was a very social person and could engage with anyone from every walk of life. Lisa will live on through all who knew her.

Surviving Lisa is her daughter, Cheree Pfeiffer(Adam); siblings, Michelle (Doran) Willams, Bill (Kim) Kleinmeyer, Terry (Kirsten) Benson and Cathy Jo (Ryan) Redlinger; grandchildren, Keeley Kinney, Kenzie Kinney, Draven Kinney; nieces and nephews, Brianna, Brandon, Kaitelynn, Kaden, Jacob, Levi, Bryan, Lily and Chloe; grand nieces and nephews, Ava, Abby and Anson; and best friend, Theresa Wallace.

Lisa’s family have arranged for a simple cremation for Lisa in accordance with her wishes. There will be a Celebration of life at the VFW in Iowa City on November 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm to 4:00pm, 609 Hollywood Blvd Ste 2, Iowa City, Ia 52240. Lunch will be provided. Graveside services will be at a later date. Please continue to keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
