William “Bill” Farthing, 74, of Iowa City, passed away on September 19, 2021 at Briarwood Health Care Center after a brief illness.
Bill was born on February 7, 1947. He grew up in Maumee, Ohio and was a longtime resident of Westerville, Ohio before moving to Iowa in 2012.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Cynthia Farthing (Fred Boehmke) of Iowa City, Iowa and Elizabeth Farthing of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Frederick and Fletcher Boehmke; brother, Bradford (Jean) Farthing and sister-in-law, Diane Farthing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. and Laura Farthing, and his brother, Robert M. Farthing.
Per Bill’s wishes, cremation has been accorded and burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Maumee, Ohio at a later date. Memorials may be made to Briarwood Health Care Center (www.briarwoodhcc.com) or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
