Jo Richardson went to see the other side of the rainbow on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She died at Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa City.

Jo is survived by son Rod, his wife Shirley of Omaha, and daughter Holly Jo Richardson of Lexington, Virginia. Jo was preceded in death by her husband Robert and son Roger.

Jo was a nurse, runner, potter, weaver, musician, avid reader, and loved Tai Chi. She lived life to it's fullest.

She has deeded her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. Instead of flowers and plants, the family suggests memorials to the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, the Iowa City Senior Center or Iowa City Hospice.

Jo's family will greet friends Tuesday, July 13th, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City.
