Anthony “Tony” Sayabath, 32, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 20, 2021.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, June 26th at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 PM to 2 PM, prior to the service. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been established for his children, A.J. and Giana.
Tony was born on May 7, 1989, in Iowa City, the son of Phet and Boualeuth (Xayabath) Sayabath. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School and had received an associates arts degree from Kirkwood Community College.

Tony was employed with Caring Hands, where he was in direct support services.

Tony is survived by his significant other, Mercedes Galvan and their children, A.J. and Giana; his parents of Iowa City; his brothers, Phone Sayabath of Iowa City, and Jerry (La) Sayabath of Mt. Pleasant; nephews, Aiden, Urijah, and Elias; and numerous extended family.

Tony was preceded in death by his daughter, Maya, and his grandparents.
