Mrs. Frank Amish, aged 43, of Iowa City, committed suicide by taking strychnine, after an Indian medicine man had told her she could not be cured of sciatic rheumatism.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Anna who was born Feb. 14, 1872 and died Sept. 10, 1916. She is buried in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
