Smykil Funeral home conducted service Wednesday afternoon at the Shueyville church for Miss Jennie M. Bowersox, 78, who died Monday night at University hospital, Iowa City.

She had been a patient there since Oct. 28, when she suffered a fractured hip in a fall.

Born at Shueyville Feb. 28, 1866, she had lived with her brother, J. E. Bowersox, until his death. She was a member of the United Brethren church.

A sister, Laura A. Fordice, Shueyville, and a number of nieces and nephews survive.
