Jeremy D. Snyder, 47, of Iowa City, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his home following a valiant 4 year fight against cancer.

Jeremy chose to be cremated & his family will greet friends Thursday, September 24th, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Please respect social distancing guidelines and masks are strongly recommended.

Instead of flowers and plants, please consider memorials to an education fund to benefit his daughter Lauren.

Jeremy was born June 28, 1973 in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Nicholas & Sandra (McDowell) Snyder. Growing up in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, Jeremy graduated from St. Joseph High School in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Moving to Iowa City in 1998, where he began work at Heartland Express. In 2002, Jeremy met and later married Teresa “Terie” Leach on November 1, 2003 in Las Vegas.
Jeremy was director of product procurement at CRST in Cedar Rapids, employed at their corporate location for 12 years.

Jeremy enjoyed computers and video games, and was a die-hard Indiana Hoosier fan. Jeremy loved spending time with family and friends and making everyone laugh.
Surviving Jeremy is his wife Terie and their daughter Lauren, both of Iowa City; his parents, Nick and Sandy Snyder of Dade City, Florida; mother in law, Joanne Leach of Iowa City; brother in law, Mike Bliss of Evergreen Park, Illinois and brother and sister in law, Todd Leach (Kerri) of West Branch and two nieces and a nephew, Theresa Bliss, Emily Cook and Mikey Bliss.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Heather Bliss in August
