Robert L “Bob” Verry, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 22, 2020.
Bob, son of Richard & Lenora (Pobuda) Verry, was born and raised in Iowa City. He graduated from Iowa City High School in 1962.
He is survived by his significant other, Ramona (Mona) Maresh; sons, Denny (Jackie) of Coralville, David (Stephanie) of Iowa City; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters, JoAnn Cox, of Portland, Oregon, and Karen Jehle of Wellman, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant siblings Rosemarie and Billie and sister, Emma Lou Auchard.
Bob retired in 2008, he had worked at Oral B Labs for 28 years, then as a transporter for Four Oaks. He served in the USAF, had belonged to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Loyal Order of the Moose, American Legion and the VFW.
