Craig Alan Keplinger, 71, of Coralville, died peacefully Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Craig was born October 24, 1948 in Kendallville, Indiana, the son of Carl and Carolyn (Kiefer) Keplinger. He was a graduate of Hartford City (Indiana) High School. Craig played piano in “The Greenbriers”, a well-known musical group in Hartford City. Craig received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in science from Duke University.

On June 30, 1990 Craig married Karin Imsand.

Craig was a biomedical engineer at VAMC for many years. When he retired Craig owned and operated Keplinger World Coins.

He was an avid supporter of Duke University basketball.

Survivors include his wife, Karin; four children and seven grandchildren, Scott (Toni) and their sons, Jacob and Zachary of Zebulon, NC, Jeff (Jessica) and their children, Jenna, Jace, Josie, and Jensen of Hartford City, IN, Melanie Keplinger and her son, Pax of Coralville, and Miranda Keplinger (Benjamin Nielson) of North Liberty; his sister, Brenda (Angel) Mercado of Clearwater, FL.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents.
