Dylan James Fluaitt, 27, died Thursday, May 14, 2020.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends are welcome to join the funeral procession, which will leave Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City at 10:45 AM, Wednesday. Attendees must practice social distancing at the cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. The family would appreciate those attending to follow the guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Friends of the Animal Center Foundation or to the Dylan Fluaitt Memorial Fund.

Dylan was born July 26, 1992, the son of Mark and Debra Madden Fluaitt. He was a 2010 graduate of Iowa City High School and attended Kirkwood Community College.

Dylan was a medical support assistant at the VA Medical Center, prior to that he was employed at various restaurants as a line cook and sous chef.

He excelled at the computer and other technology and could swiftly solve your computer problems.
Anyone who experienced Dylan’s smoked macaroni and cheese, or his BBQ knew his passion and artistic ability in the kitchen. He was an avid gamer with friends all around the world. Dylan loved anime and he never missed a convention. He enjoyed time spent playing disc golf, D & D, and fishing.

His ability to make everyone smile or laugh will be missed by everyone he knew.

Dylan is survived by his parents; his brother, Drew (Emily) and their daughter, Avery; his sister, McKenzie and her boyfriend, Chris; his grandmother, Sandra Fluaitt; aunts and uncles, Tracy and Lloyd Kimber, Cindy and David Semken, Rod Fluaitt, and Constance Blakeslee; and cousins, Daniel, Jordan, Payton, Sydney, Megan, Dwayne, and Camden.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Mary Jayne Madden, and Arthur Fluaitt.
