Alice Irene Lee, 90, died Friday, April 17, 2020 at Lantern Park Care Center.

No services are planned. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital for Cystic Fibrosis.

Alice was born January 10, 1930 in Wapello County, the daughter of Raphael Earlston “Rafe” and Mary Neva (Miller) Smith. She was raised on a farm in Wapello County where she attended school. Alice married Harold G. Lee. Harold died on June 25, 1989.

For 18 years Alice owned and operated “The Stuff-It Shop” where she did upholstery.

Alice is survived by her children, Christy (Ray) Neubauer of Des Moines, Gary (Donna) Lee of Tulsa, OK, Larry Lee (Karen Pool) of North Liberty, Cindy (Nat) Soper of Chicago, IL, and Douglas (Julie) Lee of North Liberty; nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Dorothy Bates of Ft. Madison, Virginia Faulkner Anna Marie Miller, both from Ottumwa.

Alice was preceded by her parents and five brothers and two sisters.
