Mrs. Ed Schuppert, whose death was recorded herein yesterday, was a victim of influenza, passing away yesterday afternoon at 2:35 after an illness of six days. She was just past twenty-two years and is survived by her husband and her father, Frank Thurman of Pueblo, Colorado. Helen Thurman grew up on her father’s farm near Wellman and several years ago came to the city where she found employment. Later she went to the arsenal at Rock Island. She was married to Edward Schuppert in Davenport, August 1917 and they made their home at 816 E. Bloomington Street. Immediately thereafter, in the house of neighbors who had been overtaken by the recent epidemic she did all she could to help until she herself was seized with illness last Saturday. Her case very soon developed into pneumonia and hastened her death.
