FRANK J. KASPER FUNERAL TODAY
Solon – Frank J. Kasper, a prominent young farmer of Newport Township, passed away Tuesday at 2 o’clock a.m. He was a victim of pneumonia super induced by influenza and had been ill but a few days. He was the eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. J. B. Kasper, pioneer residents of Johnson County, and was but 25 years of age. He was born November 10, 1893 and spent his entire life on the farm on which he died, having become an associate partner with his father as he attained manhood, and for the past five years had active control.

He was a young man of energy and enterprise of sterling qualities. His sunny disposition and friendly feeling won for him a host of friends. All who knew him loved him and his cheerful greeting could not fail to bring forth a like response. He is gone but his happy face and kind acts will live in the memories of his friends.

He was a communicant of the Catholic Church and a loyal member of the M.W.A. A loving son and brother, a faithful friend. He will be mourned deeply.

Surviving are the heart-broken parents, a younger brother John and a sister (Blanche) Mrs. L. W. Kreischer of Big Grove Township.

Funeral services were held from the family residence this morning. Interment in St. Mary’s cemetery, Newport.
