MRS. JOSEPHINE WINEKE DIED NEAR WEST BRANCH
Mrs. Josephine Wineke, wife of John Wineke, near West Branch, in Graham Township, died December 11, of a complication of diseases from which she had been suffering for some time.Mrs. Wineke was 58 years of age and was a highly respected citizen of the community in which she had lived.
Surviving are her husband and five children, Mrs. Ida May Glick of Grand rapids, Wisconsin; John W. of Newport; Iowa; Bert, of Little Sioux, Iowa; Pearl of Oasis, Iowa and Guy of Iowa City. She leaves three brothers and two sisters, John, Fred and Joseph Roegle of Iowa City, Mesdames Bela Smith, of Cedar Rapids and Jessie Alderman of West Branch.
A private funeral will be held from the home at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, followed by a brief service at Fairview cemetery, conducted by the Reverend L.S. Shumaker, of the Baptist church. Johnson county friends tender their sympathies to the bereaved family.
