HENRY F. L. BROOKS PASSED AWAY TODAY
Henry F. L. Brooks of Sheldon, passed away this morning at 3:35 at the home of his wife’s sister, Mrs. George Bradley, of West Iowa City.

Mr. Brook’s wife, Dr. Ellen Herrington Brooks, who is well known in Iowa City, brought her husband here Wednesday for treatment. He had been a sufferer the past two months with paralysis, following cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Brooks was 57 years old, and was born in England. In his early youth he had been a First Lieutenant of the Royal Fusiliers. He was prominent in Masonic circles, being a Mason of the thirty-second degree and a Shriner.

His first wife, whose death occurred some years since, was Miss Maggie Robertson, of Sheldon. Two children were born to this union, Constance, a senior at Grinnell and Mildred a freshman at Madison university, in Wisconsin. Mr. Brooks married Dr. Ellen Herrington in the late spring of this year and their home has been in Sheldon.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock. Interment will be in Sheldon with Masonic rites. A large circle of friends sympathize with the bereaved family.
