Mrs. May E. Kent, 90, lifelong resident of Solon until 1956 when she moved to Wellman to live with a daughter, died July 1 at the home of the daughter after a short illness.

Services were held in Solon July 3. Burial was in Oakland cemetery at Solon.

Mrs. Kent was born at Solon June 10, 1873, the daughter of Frank and Mary Stiles Kessler. She was married to George W. Kent Oct. 21, 1896, in Solon. Mr. Kent died March 22, 1927.

Surviving are 5 daughters, Mrs. James Tesar and Mrs. Charles Connelly, both of Solon; Mrs. Ralph Bringman, Wellman; Mrs. Joseph Ditterline, Paramount, Calif., and Mrs. Ralph Vittengl, Cedar Rapids; 3 sons, Lloyd, Mt. Vernon; Herbert, Iowa City and Vernon, Solon; a brother, Rollie Kessler, Solon; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

One son, George, also preceded her in death.
