Joseph Novy Funeral
Held on Tuesday

Joseph Novy, 64, died at his home three miles west of North Liberty, at 11:30 p.m. Friday after a lingering illness. He was born March 17, 1874, near Solon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Novy, and lived near Solon until his marriage to Julia Mary Buresh December 28, 1899. They moved to a farm neat North Liberty where he resided until his death.

In addition to his wife, Julia, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anton Ulch, Iowa City; Mrs. Lumir Cuhel, Cedar Rapids, route 2; three sons, Milo, Iowa City; Emil, North Liberty; Joe Wesley at home; five grandchildren, Marjorie Mae, Lawrence Joseph and Dorothy Frances Novy, all of Iowa City; Ellen Marie and Jean Anne Novy, of North Liberty; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Buresh, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Mary Holecek, Solon and four brothers, Frank, North Liberty; John, Solon; Charles, Fairfax and Anton, Cedar Rapids; his parents, two sisters and a half-sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted in the Brosh Chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Theodore B. Hubbueck. Burial was made in the Bohemian Nation Cemetery.
