Mary Elizabeth (Ingham) Ferryman, 83 of Iowa City, died Wednesday May 4th, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Mary was cremated per her wishes. There will be a gathering time Saturday May 7th, 2005 from 2:00-4:30 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service 605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City. Her cremains will be buried at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials can be made in Mary’s name to the America Heart Association 3741 Center Point Road, NE Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 or Iowa City Animal Shelter, 410 E. Washington Street Iowa City, IA 52240.

Mary was born December 16, 1921 in Harper, IA to Edward and Caroline (Schumacher) Ingham. She married Warren Paul Ferryman on November 29, 1969 in Davenport, IA. Mary worked as a Technical Illustrator for the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years before retiring in 1973. Mary was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Iowa Poetry Association in which she was a published writer. She was an artist who enjoyed writing poems and Haiku’s. Mary loved animals and her family very much.

She is survived by her husband Warren Paul of Iowa City; a son Paul Eickhoff (Jean) of Davenport, IA and four grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
