FRANK KHIEM NGO, 83, passed on Monday, December 23, 2019. Frank was born August 16, 1936 in Tra Vinh, Vietnam.

At 18, Frank enlisted in the Vietnam Navy. He married Kim Lien Nguyen in 1958. Frank continued serving his country until the fall of Vietnam in 1975 when he and his family immigrated to America.

Frank was employed at Kayser’s Butchering in Lena, Illinois, and later at Micro Switch Division of Honeywell in Freeport, Illinois. In 2004, he retired from Micro Switch with 27 years of service.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially biking, boating, and fishing. Frank also had a love for animals and cars.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kim of Coralville, Iowa; his son, Christopher Ngo of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; three daughters, Lynn Blocklinger of Liberty Hill, Texas; Kristina (Paul) Decuitiis of Georgetown, Texas; and Amie (Paul) Ngo-Blocklinger of Coralville, Iowa; eleven grand children; and six great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brother; sister; son, Tom Ngo; son-in-law, Bart Blocklinger.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City at noon, Friday, January 3rd. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Rachke of Parkview Church. Burial will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, Illinois.
