Peter J. Van Beek, 56 of Coralville, died suddenly Sunday, November 24, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Peter Joel Van Beek was born July 2, 1963 in Iowa City, the son of Peter and Jean (Webster) Van Beek. For many years he worked in the construction field in this area dong drywall work.

His family includes his son, Dalton Van Beek (fiancée: Deyanira); daughter, Breyanne Duffy; sister, Amy Heumphreus (Scott); grandchildren, Athena, Taeshauna, Carmine and Asher; nieces and nephews, Curtis, Shelby and Riley and great-niece, Wrenley. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Peter Joseph and nephew Morgan Heumphreus.
