Julie R. Pedrick, 58, of North Liberty, died Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Bird House Hospice Home of Johnson County.
Julie chose to be cremated. Her family will greet friends Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City.
A Celebration of Julie’s Life will begin Friday at 11:00 am at North Liberty First United Methodist Church, 85 N. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or the Julie Pedrick Body Moves Scholarship Fund.
Born June 1, 1961 in Keosauqua, Iowa, the daughter of James and Fae (Long) Franklin, Julie grew up in Keosauqua and graduated from Van Buren High School. She moved to North Liberty in 1982 to attend college. Ambitious in furthering her education, Julie earned 2 associate degrees from Kirkwood Community College – one in accounting and the second in LAN Networking / IT.
She married Brian Pedrick on September 29, 1979 in Keosauqua.
Julie worked at Body Moves Fitness & Wellness Center in Coralville.
Survivors include her husband Brian; their two daughters, Sarah Conner (Jon) of North Liberty and Rachael Pedrick (Alec Jamison) of Cedar Rapids; granddaughters, Kennedy Conner and Reagan Conner; sister, Connie Johnson (Keith) of Keosauqua; brothers, Bruce Franklin (Lolena) of Keosauqua, Gene Franklin (Deb) of Mt. Sterling, Iowa, Curt Franklin (Rebecca) of Coralville and Greg Franklin of Oxford; brother in law, Jeff Pedrick (Jeannie) of Richland, Iowa, sister in law, Paula Sholl (Jess) of Ft. Madison, father in law, Allan Pedrick (Helen) of Keosauqua and many nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother Fae Black, her step-father Jim Black, grandparents, Grandma Nana and Grandpa Poppy and mother in law, Cheryl Pedrick.
