Frank Voparil, 65, of Route 1, West Liberty, a butcher in Solon and Iowa City for many years, died about 10:30 a.m. April 13 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City after a long illness.

Mr. Voparil moved to a farm near West Liberty about 4 years ago.

He was born August 3, 1895, in Czechoslovakia, and came to America at the age of 18. He married Bessie Psota June 6, 1922.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Richard F., Solon; 3 grandchildren; and 2 sisters and 2 brothers in Czechoslovakia.

Funeral services were April 17 at Iowa City and at St. Bridget's church in the Nolan settlement.
