Mrs. Fred Duncan.
Mary Duncan, 84, 818 Tenth street SE, a Cedar Rapids resident since 1893, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday following a brief illness.
Born Aug. 21, 1866, in Johnson county,s he moved to Riverside in 1870. She was married to Fred F. Duncan in 1890. He died Oct. 31, 1910.
Surviving are a son, Leland M. Duncan, at home, former member of the Cedar Rapids police department, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Kern of Arlington, Va.
Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America Parlor City Camp No. 1799, Golden Rule lodge No. 486, ladies auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, and the El Kahir Shrine Auxiliary for Crippled Children.
Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Riverside. Friends may call at the chapel.
