Ed Lovetinsky, 72, lifetime Johnson county farmer died Saturday evening following an extended illness.

He was born on a farm near Iowa City, May 22, 1888, the son of Frank and Mary Kondora Lovetinsky. December 16, 1914, he was married at Iowa City to the former Mary Bohac. He farmed all his life.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Siegling, Iowa City; 3 brothers, Frank of West Branch, George and Fred of Iowa City; a sister, Mrs. Della Strub, of Iowa City. Three grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 1, from the West Branch Methodist church, with Rev. L. E. Bauman officiating. Interment was in Oakland cemetery, Iowa City.
