J. W. Archer, 65, of Iowa City, IA, formerly of Rock Island, IL passed away at his daughter’s home, Monday, August 19, 2019.

J. W. was born on May 30, 1954 in Mississippi the son of Rosie Archer.

J.W. is survived by his children, Dora Burnside of Iowa City, IA, and Michael Burnside of Pontiac, IL; siblings, Leenora Archer of Chicago, IL, Ella Archer or Iowa City, IA, Gloria Archer of Chicago, IL, and R.C. Archer.

J.W. was preceded in death by his parents.
