Funeral services were held Friday for Mrs. Earl (Alice) Grizel, 35, of near West Branch, at Iowa City. The Rev. L. L. Dunnington was in charge. Burial was in Memorial Gardens at Iowa City.

Mrs. Grizel died Tuesday at University hospital following surgery for a heart condition.

A native of Iowa City, she was born July 6, 1920, a daughter of Robert and Emily Myers Schump. She attended Iowa City high school.

In 1944, she was married to Earl Grizel. The couple established their home on a farm between Iowa City and West Branch and had lived there since.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Susan Marie, 11, and Emy Lou, 10, and a son Frank James, 5. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schump, of Iowa City, a sister, Mrs. Marian Bergmann, of Solon, and nieces and nephews.
