Marjorie A. Baldwin, 81, of Iowa City passed away May 22, 2019 at Lantern Park Specialty Care in Coralville.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Marjorie Ann Baldwin was born October 15, 1937 in Algona to Howard and Marjorie (Gregerson) Strayer. She spent her early years in Hartley, graduating from Hartley High School and married the love of her life, Terrance Baldwin on June 9, 1957. She later received her Dental Assisting Certificate and began working at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry before working for her husband at Terrance Baldwin, DDS, PC.
Marjorie and Terrance spent most of their life in Muscatine after moving there in 1984, where his office was located for many years. The couple moved to Iowa City in 2016.
She loved doing crafts, working in her yard and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team, remembering the days when she played high school basketball. Above all, she loved her grandchildren and the memories they shared.
Marjorie is survived by her husband and their three children, Lisa Baldwin and Amy (Gary) Schmit, both of Iowa City, IA, and Steve (Carol) Baldwin of Queen Creek, AZ. She is also survived by her siblings, Judy Lange and Jim Strayer; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
