Joseph M. Zenisek, 74, a longtime Solon resident died suddenly at his home in Solon June 25. He had farmed near Solon most of his life, retiring 7 years ago and moving into town.

Mr. Zenisek was born March 11, 1885, at Cedar Bluff, the son of Michael and Antonette Smutney Zenisek. He was married to Agnes Cole June 1, 1910, near Lisbon.

Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Stanley, Raymond and Clarence, all of Solon; 3 daughters, Mrs. William Secrest, West Branch; Mrs. Richard Hoke, Lisbon, and Loretta Zenisek, Cedar Rapids and one sister, Mrs. James Ham, of Solon.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church in Solon. Burial was in the St. Mary's church cemetery.
