Justin Wade Kent, 19, of Wellman died Monday, April 4, 2005 from injuries related to a car accident.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 8 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service- 605 Kirkwood Ave. Iowa City. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. also at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Judy Gingerich will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a fund in his name.

Justin was born May 31, 1985 the son of Jeff and Robin (Spicer) Kent. He graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 2004. Justin worked in the meat department at Hy-Vee. He was a freshman at the University of Iowa. Justin was engaged to marry Heather Irene Jay.

Justin was active as an Eagle Scout and was the assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 236 in Wellman, was involved with Venture Crew 5 and a vigil member of Order of the Arrow. He was also active with Moy Yat Kung Fu.

Justin is survived by his parents, his fiancé Heather Irene Jay of Iowa City, his brothers Brandon and Matthew and sister Misty, his grandparents Dorothy Spicer and Larry and Maureen Kent all of Iowa City, an uncle Larry Spicer (Barb) of South English and a cousin Chandra Spicer.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Spicer.
