Mrs. Mildred Werye died at her home in Kalona Wednesday morning, March 2, 1966 at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 22 days. She had been in ill health for several years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday, March 4 at the Kalona Methodist Church with the Rev. Lowell Drake officiating. Interment will be made in the East Union Cemetery. The body will remain at the Peterseim Funeral Home until time of services.
A daughter of Jeff G. and Veina Stutzman, Mildred was born on July 10, 1915. On June 28, 1936 she was married to Aaron Miller who preceded her in death on November 10, 1957. On November 5, 1960 she was married to Nyle Werye in Des Moines.
Survivors include her husband; three brothers: John and Paul of Iowa City, Al, Kalona; one sister, Mrs. Merle Breese, Coralville. Also surviving are one uncle, one aunt, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
