Colleen Ann Rogers, 75, of Coralville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Coralville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.

Colleen was born on August 17, 1943 in Ottumwa, IA the daughter of Edward and Pat (Konrad) McDermott. She was united in marriage to Maynard Rogers on December 2, 1961 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Iowa City. Family was the most important thing to Colleen and she cherished the times spent with them. Colleen loved to clean and was able to notice if anything was out of place. Everyone in the family knew to take their shoes off before entering the house, her floors were so clean you could eat off them. She was also very straight forward and spoke her mind.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Maynard of Coralville; two children, Gary (Diane) Rogers of Iowa City, and Diane (John) Madsen of Coralville; a sister, Jane Corso of Coralville; five grandchildren, Ryan Rogers, Collin Rogers, Emily (Steven) Cochran, Neil Madsen and Mallory (Tim Lance) Madsen and two great-grandchildren, Kaelynn and Kacen Cochran. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, infant great-grandson, Kaden Cochran, and brother-in-law, Bob Corso.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lantern Park Nursing Home for making them feel like family. As well as the SNICU and Palliative Care staff at The University of Iowa Hospital for their excellent care.
