Stanley S. Keiser, 78, died Saturday, September 29th at UIHC of complications from a fall.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, October 3rd at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Wednesday. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the McBride Raptor Center or the charity of your choice. Casual attire requested.
Stan was born March 24, 1940 in North English, the son of James and Grace Sears Keiser. On January 20, 1962 Stan married Linda Johnson in Prophetstown, IL.
Stan was employed at the University of Iowa for over 30 years. Most of that time he was with the architectural and engineering office.
He loved to hunt, fish, finding mushrooms in the woods, archery, NASCAR, and was a Hawkeye fan. Stan enjoyed going to weekend music concerts. Most important to Stan was his family, especially time spent with his great granddaughter, Addalyn.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Linda and their two children, Julie (Doug) Hansen of Ottumwa and Scott (Twyla) Keiser of Dacula, GA; his great granddaughter, Addalyn Gott; his step -granddaughter, Lori (Josh) Lubin of Dunwoody, GA and their children, Ellie and Abbie; his siblings, Gary (Joan) Keiser of Williamsburg and Kathy (John) O’Rourke of North English; his sister-in-law, Betty Johnson of Iowa City.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Timothy Gott.
