Melissa Marie Doro, 45, died Wednesday, August 28th.
Family Services are planned. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ehlers - Danlos Syndrome Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Melissa was born June 6, 1973 in Livonia, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Cynthia (Shields) Doro. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and attended the Chicago Art Institute.

Melissa had been employed at ACT and the University of Iowa.

Melissa was a creative soul, a gifted artist and musician. She liked to paint, sketch, draw and play her guitar.

This past year Melissa fought multiple health issues. She has now found eternal peace and rest. She will be greatly missed.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Richard and Cynthia of Metamora, IL; her sister, Jessica Doro (Chris Peterson) of North Liberty; and her aunt, Claudia Shields of Berkley, Michigan
