Rev. S. W. Heald, former pastor of the M. E. church at Cresco, died very unexpectedly at Osage last Monday. A few weeks ago he was to have been operated upon at Rochester for an abcess. His sudden demise was probably the result of the abcess or the operation.

Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave indicates he was born September 27, 1842 and died September 7, 1903. He is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
