Coralville, Iowa

Patrick James Judge, 72, of 701 11th Avenue died at his home Wednesday, February 23, 2005 of lung cancer.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 28, 2004 at 10AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Walter Helms officiating. Burial with military rites provided by local military organizations will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Coralville American Legion. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6PM at Lensing’s Oak Hill Funeral Service, Coralville, where a Vigil Service will be held at 5PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice, 1025 Wade Street, Iowa City, IA. 52245

Patrick was born August 5, 1932 in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada, the son of Dr. James and Mary Coughlin Judge.

Patrick was raised in Albia, Iowa, where he graduated from high school. He served in the US Air Force in Korea as an Airman 1st Class. He moved to Coralville, married Delaine Walters and together they raised four children. Patrick was a Health Care Technician at the Veterans Administration Hospital for 37 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Church and the Coralville American Legion. Patrick was a loyal Hawkeye who stood by his team till the bitter end.

He is survived by four children; Cindy (Dan) Leedom of Coralville, Iowa, Craig (Jean) Judge of Mesa, Arizona, Mark (Debbie) Judge of Marietta, Georgia, Sean Judge of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Gerald (Ruth) Judge of San Diego, California and Bernard (Kay) Judge, of California City, California; one sister, Margaret Judge of San Diego, California; five grandchildren, Scott, Danielle, Jenny, Jim and Devin; six great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Trent, Trevor, Brianna, Jackson, Jacob; and his longtime friend Bill W.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister Eleanor
