Jack Kelley, 59
Jack L. Kelley, 59, of 276 Bon Aire, died Saturday Dec. 13, 1997, at University Hospitals after a long illness with cancer.
Services will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at George L. Gay Funeral Home and Crematorium, with the Rev. Lawrence Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a vigil service at 6 p.m. and a rosary led by Nancy Belger at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
Mr. Kelley was born June 22, 1938, in Iowa City to Louise Kelley. He attended St. Patrick school and was a member of the church. He worked on the railroad for 23 years.
Survivors include four aunts and their husbands, Helen and George Martinson of Iowa City, Donna and Richard Garvin of Atalissa, Patty and Pat Woods of West Branch and Irene and Earl Stroud of Solon; one uncle and his wife, Jim and Deloris Kelley of Iowa City; and several cousins; including Jerry Martinson.
His mother; grandfather; grandmother; two aunts, Marjorie Wise and Agnes Reynolds; and one uncle, Bob Kelley, died earlier.
